CASNR Advisor and Support Staff Awards

Each year the Agricultural Ambassadors sponsor two awards that are presented to CASNR advisors and support staff at the scholarship banquet in the spring. Check out the info below to learn more!

Outstanding CASNR Advisor Award: Advising is an integral part of the student experience in CASNR. Although assisting with course schedules is one part of advisement, CASNR advisors play a key role in helping students with career decisions, personal problems and by being a friendly face. The Outstanding CASNR Advisor award is unique because the selection is made by students and based solely on nomination forms submitted by students. The student nominator is asked to express the qualities that set their advisor apart and to list an example of when the advisor went "above and beyond" the call of duty as an advisor. A committee of the CASNR Student Ambassadors chooses the award winner.

Outstanding CASNR Support Staff Award: The CASNR Ambassadors established this award in 2000 to honor the many support staff who are either on the "front lines" in helping students or who work behind the scenes in assisting faculty and staff provide excellent service to students.These individuals are a vital link to the friendly, positive atmosphere in CASNR. Faculty, staff, or students can make nominations and the award winner is selected by the CASNR Student Ambassadors.
