All students, despite their major interest, who complete the Undergraduate Application for Admission/Scholarships, will be eligible to compete for University-wide scholarship awards. A description of these university wide awards is located in the OSU Application. To ensure you are also considered for scholarships available from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and it's respective departments, you need put a check mark beside "Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources" (Question #21--Academic College/Major) on the Undergraduate Application for Admission/Scholarships. The Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid office will forward your application to the college of your choice. It is recommended you only check the colleges for which you are sincerely interested.
In order to get your application sent to a specific department, you need to indicate the major(s) you are considering. If you still trying to decide between a couple of different majors within CASNR, it is okay to list both of them. The College Academic Programs office will forward your information to the department you have indicated.
How will I be notified about an award?
Each unit is responsible for contacting students about their awards. Usually, most awards are made by mid March of the year you plan to attend. Most often, you are only contacted if you are awarded a scholarship.
