Career Possibilities
Graduates from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have pursued diverse fields. Just look at list of employers of our recent graduates. However "What can I do with a major in _______" is still one of the most commonly asked question by college students of all levels. You may not realize it yet, but only you have the answer. It lies within your interests and abilities. The best way to find that answer is to become more knowledgeable about the career areas that interest you.

How to Determine Your Destination
- Participate in organizations and activities that enable you to explore interests and build skills.
- Research career fields that interest you through journals, books, Web sites, informational interviews, etc.
- Seek an internship, part-time or summer position that will provide you with experience in a field you are considering.
- Shadow someone who works in a career you may pursue.
- Discuss career ideas with your advisor and career development coordinator.
- Attend CASNR Career Fair and company information sessions to become familiar with potential employers.
- Attend professional meetings and conferences.
- Network with faculty, professionals and alumni to discover career opportunities.
- Use your school breaks to conduct plant tours and company visits.
