Career Courses

CASNR Career Services offers two courses for students seeking assistance with their personal career development efforts. Career Exploration in Agriculture and Natural Resources (AG 1111) is an elective course coordinated to enhance student self-awareness and expand student knowledge about career opportunities related to agriculture and the natural resources. This course relies heavily on engaging alumni and industry professionals in activities with students for career exploration purposes. Career Planning & Skill Development (AG 3111) is also an elective course designed to expand student knowledge about career planning for experiences after undergraduate studies and to develop student skills related to conducting a job search or applying to graduate/professional schools. Course topics include résumé development, development of job search letters, interview preparation, salary negotiation, career decision-making, researching employers and graduate programs, business and dining etiquette, and more.
