STF Projects
The CASNR Student Technology Fee funded these projects:
- Computer and printer upgrades and ongoing maintenance to STF labs in AGH 005, AGH 266, and ANSI 126.
- Purchase of software licenses for software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Macromedia software bundles that are installed on each computer in the three STF labs
- Multimedia facility upgrades in AGH 101, 201, 202, and ANSI 123, 124.
Information about the CASNR computer labs:
- Each of the three computer labs are open for use by all OSU students, faculty, and staff. A current OSU ID card must be used at the card scanner, located at the entrance to each lab, for access to the lab.
- The labs are "teaching labs": each lab is used for academic teaching purposes and has "open access" hours except when in use by teaching faculty for classroom activities. Open access availability is posted on each lab door.
- Computers in the labs were upgraded during the summer of 2005. Printers in the labs were upgraded during December, 2006.
- In addition to the basic set of software - internet browser and office productivity tools - the computer labs will also have a variety of software suites to meet academic purposes. These software bundles include: Internet Explorer and FireFox, Microsoft Office 2003, ArcGIS and ArcView GIS, AutoCAD, Macromedia (Adobe) Contribute, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash (all version 8), SAS, Adobe CS2, ANSYS, EndNote, PTC, and SolidWorks. Updates to software bundles are made during breaks in the school year. Additional software can be added by request and when schedules permit.
- Lab Monitors provide upkeep and support of the labs. If you need immediate support, please contact the College office (x5395) or Technology Services and Support (x5536).
